New Era University College Delegation Visits Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade
On 18 March 2025, a delegation from New Era University College visited Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade accompanied by Ms. Huang WenFei (Former Vice Chairman, Fuzhou Federation of Trade Unions; Former Director, Mawei Culture and Sports Bureau).The visit aimed to strengthen the bond between the two universities, explore potential collaborative projects, and deepen academic exchanges and talent development in education, thereby fostering closer educational ties between Malaysia and China.
The representatives from NEUC included: Associate Professor Dr. Hsu Chia Fang (Head, Department of Early Childhood Education), Ms. Lee Yun Xin (Head, Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language), Ms. Phang Hui Ting (Head, International Student Recruitment Office) and Ms. Lim Jia Yi (Education Programme Specialist). The representatives of Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade included: Mr. Lu RenCong (Director, International Education Center), Professor Dr. Lin XinNian (Dean, College of Education), Ms. Li ShuangShuang (Head, Department of Preschool Education), Associate Professor You RongHua (Head, Department of International Chinese Education) and Mr. Zhang Liang (Director, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office, International Education Center).
During the meeting, both sides introduced their founding history, educational philosophies, and current developments. Discussions focus on future cooperation opportunities in academic collaboration, faculty exchanges, and student development. Representatives from Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade highly commended New Era University College for its steadfast commitment to Chinese-language education and its practice of humanistic values, expressing hope for joint efforts in advancing educational development between the two universities.
