Three-Month Internship Journey Concludes for Postgraduate Students from Minnan Normal University and Nanjing Audit University
New Era University College (NEUC) held a Postgraduate Internship Completion Ceremony and Learning Outcomes Sharing Session on 13 October 2026, bringing together postgraduate students from Minnan Normal University and Nanjing Audit University to reflect on their three-month internship experience and celebrate their learning achievements.
During the session, Peng Lizhu from Nanjing Audit University, together with Zhang Shuwen, Wang Yumeng and Ma Xinyu from Minnan Normal University, shared their experiences and reflections on teaching practice, the lessons they gained throughout their internships, and their evolving perspectives on the education profession.
Beyond gaining valuable hands-on teaching experience, the four postgraduate students also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Malaysia’s multicultural environment. Through their daily interactions and experiences, they developed a deeper appreciation of the cultural diversity, traditions and lifestyles of different communities in Malaysia. This cross-cultural exposure broadened their horizons and enriched their understanding of cultural exchange and mutual respect in a diverse society.
The sharing session provided a meaningful opportunity for the students to reflect on their progress, consolidate their learning and demonstrate how they had applied their academic knowledge in practical teaching contexts. It also encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences, further strengthening their understanding of teaching practices and the responsibilities of educators.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates of completion and commemorative gifts in recognition of the students’ participation and contributions throughout the internship programme. A group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion and mark the successful conclusion of their three-month journey.
Internships play an important role in bridging academic knowledge and professional practice, while fostering critical reflection, professional competence and personal growth. NEUC extends its best wishes to all four students as they move forward in their academic and professional journeys, carrying with them the knowledge, experiences and cross-cultural insights gained during their time in Malaysia. May this experience also serve as a foundation for continued academic exchange and collaboration between the participating institutions.
