Delegation from Guangdong Women’s Polytechnic College

On 9 September 2026, a delegation led by Ms. Che Xiaozhen, Party Secretary of the Guangdong Women’s Polytechnic College (GDWP) visited New Era University College (NEUC). The purpose of this visit was to conduct in-depth exchanges through an on-site inspection, explore more potential areas of cooperation, strengthen multilateral cooperative relations, and further promote educational exchanges and development between Malaysia and China.

During the meeting, representatives from both institutions introduced their respective educational backgrounds, current development and future plans, followed by constructive discussions on potential directions for future collaboration. Both sides actively explored potential areas of cooperation, including academic and programme development, academic exchange and talent cultivation. By leveraging their respective institutional strengths and unique resources, both institutions expressed their commitment to establishing a more diverse and pragmatic framework for collaboration, thereby injecting new impetus into the internationalisation of education and regional educational exchange.

Representatives from the corporate partner, APR Electronic Services Sdn. Bhd., were also invited to participate in the exchange meeting. Mr. Danny Ng Theng Wei, the Managing Director of the company and Industry Advisor to the Faculty of Computing and Innovative Technology of NEUC, shared insights into the company’s perspectives on talent development and industry trends, and engaged in discussions with the participating representatives on areas such as student internships, industry exposure, and the transition from education to employment, further strengthening the connection between education and industry.

Following the meeting, the delegations were given a campus tour led by Prof. Dr. Mok Soon Chong, Vice-Chancellor of NEUC. The delegations visited the Tan Lark Sye Library and the Nantah Resource Centre, where they gained a deeper understanding of NEUC's educational philosophy, founding background, and the development of Chinese education in Malaysia.

Representatives from Guangdong Women’s Polytechnic College consisted of Party Secretary Che Xiaozhen; Prof. Li Shuping, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages and Trade (School of International Exchange); Li Zhenchao, Director of the Party and Government Office; Niu Yanhong, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Jia Dongmei, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and Xu Wenjuan, Student Affairs Counselor of the School of Management.

Representatives from APR Electronic Services Sdn Bhd are Danny Ng Theng Wei, Managing Director; Ng Hao Wei, Technical Training Manager; and Chai Nan Zhou, Technical Sales Manager.

The representatives from NEUC included Prof. Dr. Mok Soon Chong, Vice-Chancellor; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ang Yang Yi, Dean, Faculty of Computing and Innovative Technology; Phang Hui Ting, Head of the International Student Recruitment Office, Institute of International Education (IIE); and Ther Hui Yi, Education Programme Specialist of IIE.
