𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐗𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲
On November 28, 2025, a delegation from Xiamen University visited New Era University College (NEUC). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen and deepen the collaborative relationship between the two universities through exchanges, while exploring more feasible projects to further promote educational ties between Malaysia and China and jointly cultivate professionals in various fields.
The representatives from Xiamen University is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yue Yang (School of Economics, Xiamen University). The representatives from NEUC included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lew Siew Boon (Assistant Dean, Institute of International Education) ，Assist. Prof. Dr. Loo Yew Liang (International Academic Exchange Office, Institute of International Education) and Ms. Wong Jing Yin (Education Programme Specialist, Institute of International Education).
During the meeting, representatives from both universities introduced their respective educational backgrounds, current development status, and future plans. They also held in-depth discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including student recommendations and scholarship support, joint master’s and doctoral training, as well as academic seminars in the fields of business and economics. After the meeting, the two parties exchanged gifts and took group photos. This exchange further deepened their shared understanding of possible cooperation models and laid a solid foundation for more pragmatic and effective collaboration in the future.
