Delegation from Zhejiang Institute of Administration

On December 5, 2025, a delegation from Zhejiang Institute of Administration visited New Era University College (NEUC). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen and deepen the collaborative relationship between the two universities through exchanges, while exploring more feasible projects to further promote educational ties between Malaysia and China and jointly cultivate professionals in various fields.

The representatives from Zhejiang Institute of Administration included Liu Jinqiang, Vice President; Xu Liang, Director of the Student Affairs Department; Ye Jing, Director of the Retired Staff Affairs Office; Gu Jinxi, Director of the Department of Political Science Teaching & Research; Dai Jianhua, Senior Engineer and Director of the Information Management Department; and Cheng Weijie, Deputy Director of the Department of Party History and Party Building Teaching & Research.

The representatives from NEUC included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tey Shi Bin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate Development); Phang Hui Ting, Head of the International Student Recruitment Office, Institute of International Education; Assoc. Prof. Wong Wai Shee, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature; and Wong Jing Yin, Education Programme Specialist, Institute of International Education. 

During the meeting, representatives from both institutions introduced their respective educational backgrounds, current developments, and future plans. They engaged in in-depth discussions on several potential areas of collaboration, including academic qualification enhancement, student study programs, the establishment of a joint research center, and academic exchanges. After the meeting, the delegation from the Zhejiang Institute of Administration visited the Tan Lark Sye Library accompanied by our team, where they gained a deeper understanding of our institution’s educational philosophy, founding background, and the development of Chinese education in Malaysia.

This visit has laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as academic qualification programs, student training, joint research center development, and academic exchange. It also injects new momentum into China–Malaysia educational cooperation.
