New Era University College and Maanshan Technical College Establish "Huijiang Workshop"Jointly Promoting Vocational Education Cooperation Between Malaysia and China
On September 9, 2025, the “Huijiang Workshop” jointly established by New Era University College (NEUC) and Maanshan Technical College, was officially inaugurated. The launch and implementation of this collaborative project not only signify a comprehensive deepening of the partnership between the two institutions, but also mark a new milestone in the exchange and cooperation between Malaysia and China in the field of vocational education. The event was witnessed by leaders from Malaysia Industrial Talent Board,Education Association Between Malaysian and China and Malaysia Chinese Restaurant Association.
Prof.Dr. Mok Soon Chong (Vice-Chancellor, NEUC) emphasized in his address that with the increasingly close educational ties between Malaysia and China, the “Huijiang Workshop” will serve as a vital bridge, providing a platform for students to develop professional skills and facilitate exchanges. By introducing cutting-edge industry techniques, the workshop aims to equip students with advanced professional expertise.
Prof.Liu Heng (President, Maanshan Technical College) expressed in his speech that this project actively responds to the trend of internationalization in vocational education and promotes the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture. He looks forward to further deepening exchanges between the two institutions in multiple areas, including faculty and student visits, curriculum development, and industry-academia collaboration.
During the meeting, representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on vocational talent cultivation and international cooperation projects. Building on these exchanges, multiple cooperation agreements were signed, aiming to leverage the integration of high-quality resources and collaborative innovation to jointly advance the future development of vocational education in Malaysia and China. These efforts will also cultivate more skilled talents with international perspectives for both countries.
