𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲
On August 20, 2025, a delegation from Guangdong Business and Technology University visited New Era University College (NEUC). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen and deepen the collaborative relationship between the two universities through exchanges, while exploring more feasible projects to further promote educational ties between Malaysia and China and jointly cultivate professionals in various fields.
The representatives from Guangdong Business and Technology University included Prof. Feng Haizhi (Vice President), Dr. Xiong Shicai (Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Dean of the International Education School), Ms. Luo Zhaozhen (Officer, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange), Mr.Wei Xuyang (Counselor, International Education School).
The representatives from NEUC included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tey Shi Bin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate Development), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lew Siew Boon, Asst. Dean of Institute of International Education, Ms. Yap Seow Yu, Head of Department of Language and Intercultural Centre, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ng Khai Boon, Institute of International Education, Ms. Hew Wurn Jier, Secretary of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate Development), and Ms. Lim Jia Yi, Education Programme Specialist.
The representatives from both universities first held an exchange meeting, briefly introducing their respective educational backgrounds, current development status, and future plans. Both representatives also explored potential collaborations in various areas, including joint discipline development, academic exchanges, and faculty-student visits. Building on the discussions, the two universities further signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on international cooperation, aiming to jointly develop more collaborative projects.
