Delegation from the Department of Information and Library Science, Tamkang University
On July 10, 2025, Prof. Dr. Lin Sinn-Cheng from the Department of Information and Library Science at Tamkang University led a study group of six students on a visit to the Tan Lark Sye Library, New Era University College(NEUC). The purpose of the visit was to engage in discussion on topics related to digital humanities in Malaysian Chinese culture and the current state of higher education development.
The representatives from Tamkang University included Prof. Dr. Lin Sinn-Cheng and students Chao Tzu-Jui, Chen Yu-Ying, Hsueh Yu-Chen, Wu Jui-Yun, Hou Yi-Zhen, and Weng Hsing-Yi.
Representing NEUC were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lew Siew Boon (Head of International Academic Exchange Office), Ms. Brenda Choo Ly Er (Chief Librarian, Tan Lark Sye Library), and Ms. Lai Ying Mun (Librarian, Nanyang Pavilion).
Ms. Lai, the librarian of Nanyang Pavilion, guided the delegation through the Tan Lark Sye Library, introducing the library’s collections and management practices. This was followed by an exchange session between both institutions, during which NEUC's educational philosophy and institutional development were presented.
