New Era University College Wins Awards at the 2nd Beijing- Tianjin-Hebei ASEAN Students "My Story with China" Chinese Story Video Showcase
The award list of the 2nd Beijing- Tianjin-Hebei ASEAN Students "My Story with China" Chinese Story Video Showcase, which was co-organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation and the China-ASEAN Center has been officially announced. Out of over 4,700 participants around the world, NEUC stood out and secured three prestigious awards, include “Outstanding Organization Unit”, “Star of Style Guidance Teacher” and “Star of Style” awards.
The competition, themed "China and Me," aimed to showcase the profound cultural connections between ASEAN students and Chinese heritage through video storytelling while fostering cultural exchanges between Chinese and ASEAN youth. Chei Hui Yu, a student from Department of Chinese Language and Literature, earned high praise from the judging panel with her entry centered on traditional Chinese herbal sachets. By ingeniously blending modern innovation with classical craftsmanship, she presented her personal journey of inheriting Chinese culture through a unique cultural perspective, engaging narration, and creative visual expression, ultimately winning the “Star of Style” awards.
Congratulations once again to Chei Hui Yu for her outstanding achievement in this international competition!
Looking ahead, NEUC will continue to expand global engagement, strengthen China-Malaysia collaborations in humanities and education, and provide students with diverse platforms to cultivate internationally competitive, well-rounded talents.
