NEUC received a 3D printer presented by the Shanghai Material Engineering School
On June 17, 2025, representatives from Shanghai Material Engineering School visited New Era University College (NEUC) with the aim of consolidating and deepening institutional cooperation through an exchange visit, while exploring more collaborative opportunities to further promote Malaysia-China educational exchanges and jointly cultivate talents in technological innovation and vocational education.
During the meeting, both parties first introduced their respective educational backgrounds, current developments and future plans, followed by in-depth discussions on potential collaborations including joint academic programs, scholarly exchanges, and faculty/student mobility programs. As a gesture of support for the NEUC teaching and research in engineering, design and manufacturing fields, the visiting delegation presented NEUC with a 3D printer, expressing hopes for more academic achievements through future resource sharing.
The visiting delegation comprised Dr. Zhang Xiaolan (Senior Lecturer of Shanghai Material Engineering School), Ms. Tong Wei (Head of the Professional Teaching and Research Office), Ms. Li Weiwei (General Manager of Shanghai Jixun Management Consulting Co., Ltd) and Ms. Ma Wenjin (International Department Manager of Shanghai Jixun Management Consulting Co., Ltd).
The representatives from NEUC included Mr. Lee Yin Loon, (Director of IVCE), Asst. Prof. Dr. Loong Ying Tai (Head of the Department of Engineering and Department of Industrial Engineering, IVCE), Ms. Lee Hui Wen, (Head of the Department of International Student Affairs, Institute of International Education ) and Mr. Lee Hong Yi (Education Programme Specialist).
After the meeting, the visitors were given a tour of the New Era Institute of Vocational and Continuing Education (IVCE) training facilities by Asst. Prof. Dr. Loong Ying Tai, with discussions focusing on vocational education development prospects.Ms. Lee Hui Wen subsequently led the guests on a campus tour, sharing the NEUC founding history and future development plans.
