Delegation from Confucius Foundation
On 10 June 2025, a delegation from the Confucius Foundation visited New Era University College (NEUC) with the aim of fostering academic collaboration and promoting Confucian studies. This visit marks a significant step toward strengthening mutual efforts in the preservation and dissemination of Chinese traditional culture.
The visiting delegation from the Confucius Foundation was led by Mr. Chen ShengLi (Executive Director), Prof. Dr. Huang Qishu (Academic Committee Member), Mr. Han Jibin (Executive Committee Member) and Ms. Shi Jing (Executive Committee Member).
Representing NEUC were Prof. Dr. Mok Soon Chong (Vice-Chancellor), Asst. Prof. Lew Siew Boon (Head of the International Academic Exchange Office, Institute of International Education), Ms. Lee Yun Xin (Head of the Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Institute of International Education) and Ms. Chin Wai Ching (Education Programme Specialist).
During the meeting, representatives began by introducing their missions, histories, developments, the visions for collaboration, and held in-depth discussions on academic exchange and Confucian culture. Upholding the principle of “combining tradition with innovation and integrating theory with practice,” they agreed to jointly promote Confucian studies and cultural exchange. After the meeting, representatives exchange of gifts and took a group photo to commemorate the visit.
