Delegation from Nanjing AI Education Research Group
On June 6, 2025, representatives from Nanjing AI Education Research Group paid an official visit to New Era University College (NEUC) to explore potential partnerships. The purpose of this visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of each party’s achievements and distinctive features in the field of education. Building on this foundation, the discussions explored potential international collaboration opportunities between Malaysia and China. Key topics included joint curriculum development, academic research, collaborative technology initiatives, and technology transfer. By leveraging resource integration and complementary strengths, the parties aim to advance transnational AI education initiatives and cultivate specialized talent in the field of AI.
The visiting delegation included Prof. Dr. Xiao Linyuan (Head of the Institute, Nanjing Education Science Institute), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Han Weiping (Senior Lecturer, Nanjing Foreign Language School), Mr. Jiang Zhaoyu (President, Nanjing Rama Culture Communication Co., Ltd.), Ms. Jiao Lijun (Executive Assistant to the General Manager, Nanjing Rama Culture Communication Co., Ltd.), Mr. Wang Jianping (Engineer, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute) and Mr. Beh Hai Yau (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Chung Hwa Middle School).
Representing NEUC were Prof. Dr. Mok Soon Chong (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Ang Yang Yi (Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Innovative Technology), Ms. Tan Yee May (Head of the Department of Information Technology), Ms. Yap Seow Yu, (Head of the Department of Language and Intercultural Centre) and Mr. Lee Hong Yi (Education Programme Specialist).
During the meeting, representatives began by introducing their respective development progress and plans, laying the groundwork for discussions on potential collaborative projects. Subsequently, the delegation led by Ms. Yap Seow Yu toured the Tan Lark Sye library, where they gained a deeper understanding of the development of Chinese education in Malaysia, as well as NEUC’s historical background and educational philosophy.
