Delegation from Hunan City University

On 6 June 2025, a delegation from Hunan City University visited New Era University College (NEUC). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen and deepen the collaborative relationship between the two universities through exchanges while exploring more feasible projects to promote educational ties between Malaysia and China further and jointly cultivate professionals in various fields.

The representatives from Hunan City University included Prof. Dr. Yuan Zhicheng (Deputy Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Fu Jian’an (Director, Department of Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Ding Ming (Deputy Director, Department of International Exchange) and Dr. Qiao Peng (Teacher, Department of Humanities).

Representing NEUC included Prof. Dr. Mok Soon Chong (Vice-Chancellor), Ms. Lee Yun Xin (Head of the Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Institute of International Education), Ms. Yap Seow Yu (Head of the Language and Intercultural Centre, Institute of International Education), and Ms. Lim Jia Yi (Education Programme Specialist).

During the meeting, both parties introduced their respective institutional backgrounds and engaged in in-depth discussions on future collaboration. Both representatives also explored potential collaborations in various areas, including joint discipline development, academic exchanges, and faculty-student visits. Building on the discussions, the two universities further signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on international cooperation, aiming to develop more collaborative projects jointly.
