New Era University College Delegation Visits Fujian University of Technology
On 20 March 2025, a delegation from New Era University College visited Fujian University of Technology with the aim of strengthening ties between the two institutions and exploring the feasibility of establishing more collaborative projects. Additionally, in response to the global enthusiasm for Chinese language learning, the visit sought to deepen academic exchanges and talent cultivation in the field of international Chinese education, thereby fostering educational interactions between Malaysia and China.
Representatives from our university included: Associate Professor Dr. Hsu Chia Fang (Head, Department of Early Childhood Education), Ms. Lee Yun Xin (Head, Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language), Ms. Phang Hui Ting (Head, International Student Recruitment Office) and Ms. Lim Jia Yi (Education Programme Specialist). Representatives from Fujian University of Technology included: Mr. Jiang ShaoHua (Deputy Director, International Exchange Office), Associate Professor Dr. Yang YiLi (Deputy Dean, Department of Humanities), Mr. Huang JieLong (Assistant Dean, Department of Internet Economics and Trade), Associate Professor Dr. Li Wei (Assistant Dean, Department of Humanities), Associate Professor Dr. Xing FanFu (Assistant Dean, Department of Humanities), and Ms. Huang Qiong (Head, Master's Program in International Chinese Education at the College of Humanities).
During the meeting, representatives from both sides introduced their respective institutions' founding histories, educational philosophies, and current development statuses. Discussions focused on future opportunities for collaboration in academic cooperation, faculty exchanges, and student development. The representatives from Fujian University of Technology highly commended New Era University College for its commitment to Chinese education and its practice of humanistic care, expressing hope that the two institutions could jointly advance the development of international Chinese education and explore deeper cooperation in more fields in the future.
