Delegation from South China Agricultural University

On March 27, 2025, a distinguished delegation from South China Agricultural University (SCAU) paid an official visit to New Era University College (NEUC). The primary objectives of this visit were to explore potential tripartite cooperation in industry-academia-research domains and to further consolidate the bilateral partnership between the two institutions.

The South China Agricultural University delegation comprised four distinguished representatives: Professor Xie Qingmei, Dean of the College of Animal Science; Ms. Xiao Yuhan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange; Professor Wang Yan, College of Animal Science; and Associate Professor Zhang Zebin, College of Animal Science.

The New Era University College team was led by Professor Dr. Mok Soon Chong, Vice-Chancellor; Associate Professor Dr. Tey Shi Bin, Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate Development); Assistant Professor Dr. Lew Siew Boon, Head of International Academic Exchange Office; and Mr. Mah Siu Zhun, Education Programme Specialist.

The meeting concluded with a ceremonial exchange of commemorative gifts between the institutions, symbolizing their mutual commitment to collaboration, followed by an official group photograph in front of the administrative building. This memorable conclusion not only documented the historic meeting but also represented the shared aspirations of both universities to drive innovation in agricultural development and smart farming technologies through their forthcoming partnership. Looking ahead, the institutions have established concrete plans to translate these discussions into tangible research initiatives and academic exchanges that will contribute to agricultural advancement under the Belt and Road framework.
