Delegation from Zhejiang Institute of Economics and Trade

On 27 December 2024, a study tour group of 30 students from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics visited New Era University College for an academic exchange and communicate.

First, the delegation led by Ms.Lim Jia Yi (Education Programme Specialist) and Ms.Que Jan Voon (Education Programme Specialist) toured the Tan Lark Sye library and the Nanyang University Archive Centre, where they gained a deeper understanding of our school’s history, founding mission, and the evolution of Chinese education in Malaysia. Following this, Ms. Phang Hui Ting (Head, International Student Recruitment Office) delivered a talk with the title "Malaysia, Truly Asia" , where she introduced the unique features of Malaysia's multi-ethnic society. Through discussions on language, clothing, festivals, cuisine, and other cultural aspects, she provided an insightful and accessible portrayal of local life.After the lecture, Ms. Phang also hosted a special “Mehendi Painting Workshop” where participants had the opportunity to try their hand at creating Mehendi art, allowing them to immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional Indian painting and leaving them with lasting memories of their visit.
