Delegation from Shaoguan University
On 24 October 2024, a delegation from Shaoguan University visited New Era University College for an exchange and communicate. The purpose of this visit was to explore more feasible collaborative projects, enhance the academic cooperation between the two institutions, and further promote educational exchanges and development between China and Malaysia.
The representatives from Shaoguan University included Mr.Guo Huishi (Vice-Chancellor), Mr. Huang Changzheng (Director, Academic Affairs Office), Mr.Xiao Zhengzhong (Director, Postgraduate Students Office), Mr.Chen Xiaoyuan (Dean, School of Biology and Agriculture), Mr. Li Jin (Dean, School of Intelligent Engineering) and Ms. Liu Shuangna (Deputy Director, Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Office). The representatives from NEUC included Ms.Phang Hui Ting (Head, International Student Recruitment Office), Ms.Lee Hui Wen (Head, International Student Service Centre), Ms.Yap Seow Yu (Head, Language and Intercultural Centre)，Mr.Lee Hong Yi (Education Programme Specialist) and Ms.Lim Jia Yi (Education Programme Specialist).
During the meeting, representatives from both universities first introduced their respective campus profiles and development directions, and then explored future cooperation potential, aiming to jointly establish and implement more academic exchanges and talent cultivation programs. The leaders from Shaoguan University expressed high praise for our university's educational philosophy and the commitment of the Malaysian Chinese community to preserving mother tongue education. We look forward to deepening collaborative ties through more frequent mutual visits and exchanges in the future.
