Delegation from Jinan University

On 18 November 2024, a delegation from Jinan University visited New Era University College (NEUC) for an academic exchange with the aim of strengthening the academic cooperation between the two institutions.

The attendees from Jinan University included Mr. Zhu Zhenghui (Secretary of Party of Committee, Academy of Oversea Chinese Studies), Mr. Zhang Wenlong (Deputy Secretary of Party of Committee, College of Chinese Language and Culture), Prof. Dr. Dai Fan (Deputy Dean, Academy of Oversea Chinese Studies), Prof. Dr. Liu Yiqiang (Deputy Dean, Academy of Oversea Chinese Studies), Prof. Dr. Shi Cangjin (Academy of Oversea Chinese Studies), Ms. Yan Tingting, (Deputy Head, Admissions and Social Cooperation of College of Chinese Language and Culture and Deputy Secretary-General of the Global Chinese Schools Alliance) and Ms Peng Jing (Deputy Head, Admissions and Social Cooperation of College of Chinese Language and Culture).

The Attendees from NEUC Included Assistant Prof. Dr. Lew Siew Boon (Head, International Academic Exchange Office), Prof. Dr. Ng Yean Leng (Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences), Associate Prof. Dr. Pua Shiau Chen (International Academic Exchange Office), Associate Professor Dr. Wong Shwu Huey (Department of Education), Associate Prof. Dr. Wang Ruixin (Department of Education), Assistant Prof. Dr. Pek Wee Chuen (Head, Department of Southeast Asian Studies), Assistant Prof. Dr. Ng Sze Chieh (Vice-Chancellor's Office), Ms. Phang Hui Ting (Head, International Student Recruitment Office), Mr. Ng Khai Boon (Senior Lecturer, Institute Of International Education), Dr. Siew Wen Jia (Senior Lecturer, Chinese Language And Literature Department), and Ms. Wong Jing Yin (Education Programme Specialist).

During the meeting, representatives from both universities introduced their respective campus developments, followed by in-depth discussions among scholars on their academic backgrounds and research interests. After meeting, representatives exchange of gifts and took a group photo to commemorate the visit.
