Opening Ceremony for Master in Business Administration course June 2022
In the era of rapid economic development and technological soaring, international students have not stopped their studies, and have determined their aspirations. They gathered online on June of 28th to attend the MBA Commencement Ceremony for International Postgraduate Students to start a new learning journey at New Era University College. Vice-chancellor of New Era University College, Prof. Mok Soon Chong, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Voon Phin Keong, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lee Kam Hing, Representative of Institute of International Education, Assoc. Prof. Pua Shiau Chen, Head of Department of Business Studies, Head of Department of Finance and Accounting and MBA Lecturer Representative, Mr. Frankie Goh Song Peng, Representatives of the NEUC’s departments, lecturers, colleagues, and students attended the ceremony.
Prof. Mok Soon Chong emphasized that the integration of the world economy, the close cooperation between ASEAN and East Asia, and the increasing importance of regional cooperation, belong to the era full of challenges and opportunities for MBA students. He hopes that everyone can work hard to focus on professional skill improvement and career breakthroughs. Enabling people of the world to live a better life depends on the joint efforts of all mankind, especially MBA students. Mr. Frankie Goh Song Peng also said that the MBA Programme is the result of hard work and numerous human hours in preparing the course structure and syllabus by the Business Faculty and also Institute of International Education for the past three years, trying hard to combine the business value of East and West in both strategy and outlook, and as contemporary as possible.
Assoc. Prof. Pua Shiau Chen shared her motto when she studies in Master’s degree: “Without a cold biting, how fragrant plum blossom? ” Never forget why you started, and you can accomplish your dream and target. Wish all of your efforts will bear fruit. The representative of MBA students, Zhang Peng also hopes that everyone can study in combination with work because MBA is the most comprehensive and comprehensive discipline. It is closest to the market, has the most practical content, and is most helpful to work. Finally, he ended today's speech with Kazuo Inamori's words: "Uphold the attitude that today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today, and work hard every day."
