Culture Talk: Ukraine
Institute of International Education, New Era University College (NEUC) hosted a culture talk focusing on Ukraine on December 30, 2020, at 3:00 pm. The speaker, Ms. Iryna V. Iliychuk, from Ukraine had the experience of studying in China. She introduced the audience to Ukraine, a mysterious country for Malaysians, and shared her experience of studying, living and participating in various activities in China, and thus compared the culture and food of Ukraine, China, and Malaysia.
The online talk reached 144 audiences. Many of the audience were Chinese students currently enrolled in the Master's programme at NEUC, who were struggling to get the required scores on the IELTS exam, so Ms. Iryna V. Iliychuk shared her struggles and experiences in learning Chinese, as well as some tips for learning the destination language. She was hoping that her sharing could bring some inspiration to the students.
