Registration and Orientation Day for Undergraduate International Students February 2025 Intake: Helping International Students Embark on a New Journey

Institute of International Education hosted the “Registration and Orientation Day for Undergraduate International Students February 2025 Intake” on February 19, 2025. The event aimed to welcome new undergraduate international students, assisting them in adapting to campus life, familiarizing themselves with the learning environment, and fostering meaningful interactions with their peers.

The event began with a welcome speech by Assistant Professor Dr. Lew Siew Boon, Head of International Academic Exchange Office. She warmly welcomed the students, emphasizing that regardless of where they come from, they are now part of the big family. She highlighted that the campus is not only a place for academic pursuit but also a platform for cultural exchange. She encouraged students to seize this opportunity to gain knowledge, build friendships, broaden their horizons, and continuously improve themselves. She also assured them that the Institute of International Education would provide full support to help them adjust to their new environment and overcome challenges. Additionally, she urged students to make the most of campus resources, actively engage in learning and social interactions, and lay a solid foundation for their future endeavors.

Furthermore, Ms. Lee Hui Wen, Head of International Student Affairs Department, and Ms. Wong Jing Yin, Education Programme Specialist, provided briefings on academic expectations, campus facilities, cultural adaptation, and daily life guidance.
