Registration and Orientation Day for Undergraduate International Students February 2026 Intake
To welcome a new cohort of international students, the Institute of International Education of New Era University College (NEUC) held the "Registration and Orientation Day for Undergraduate International Students February 2026 Intake" on 25 February 2026, marking the beginning of their academic journey at the University College.
The event commenced with a welcome speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lew Siew Boon, Assistant Dean of the Institute of International Education. She highlighted Malaysia’s vibrant multicultural environment, noting that international students would have the opportunity to experience the richness of cultural diversity. While acknowledging that adapting to a new environment takes time, she emphasized that the University College’s bilingual campus setting — where both Chinese and English are widely used — ensures that language will not pose a barrier to academic or daily life. She encouraged students to seek support from the Institute whenever necessary, reaffirming its commitment to providing comprehensive assistance to help international students integrate smoothly into campus life.
Ms. Lee Hui Wen, Head of the International Student Affairs Department, together with Ms. Chin Wai Ching, Education Programme Specialist, subsequently briefed the new students on academic and living matters. The session covered key topics including course requirements, learning resources, campus facilities, cultural adaptation, and daily living guidelines, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their studies and campus experience.
The orientation programme not only provided essential information but also served as a platform for interaction and engagement. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, students connected with one another and gained deeper insight into their new learning environment, laying a strong foundation for a fulfilling campus life ahead.
