International Students Shine at “Skill Match-up” with Drums and Talents

On October 4, 2025, the Institute of International Education of New Era University College successfully hosted the Thematic Exchange Program for Diploma and Undergraduate International Students under the theme “Skill Match-up”, with a total of 56 international students participating enthusiastically. The event blended creativity, competition, and cultural immersion, offering students a lively platform to showcase their talents while experiencing Malaysia’s cultural vibrancy.

The afternoon was packed with engaging activities. Students first teamed up to design unique “Skill Cards,” turning talents such as singing, dancing, drawing, or sports into playful game elements. Extra points were earned through live performances or by presenting personal works, sparking laughter, cheers, and plenty of team spirit.

Adding a cultural highlight, the program featured a 24 Festive Drums workshop, led by NEUC’s very own I-Cool Percussion Team. Guided by the rhythmic beats and collective energy of drumming, the students experienced firsthand the power of coordination and unity on stage.

The excitement reached its peak in the “Skill Showdown” and “Drums Finale”, where teams brought out their best moves and talents. Thunderous applause and cheers from the audience created a vibrant atmosphere as the champion group of the day was crowned.

More than just a competition, the “Skill Match-up” served as a joyful bridge for international students to bond, celebrate their creativity, and gain deeper appreciation for Malaysia’s multicultural spirit.
