Delegation from Shandong Xiandai University

On December 9, a delegation from Shandong Xiandai University visited New Era University College. The purpose of the visit was to further understand the development of both university through exchange and to strengthen academic cooperation, while exploring more feasible projects for future collaboration.

The representatives from Shandong Xiandai University included Prof. Dr. Jiang TongSong (Executive President) , Li QuanHui (Executive Director and Vice President), Dong YanHua (Assistant principal and Director of Academic Affairs Office), Xu Xin (Director, Human Resources Office and International Exchange Center), Yang YunPeng (Deputy Director, Student Affairs Office), Qu Mu (Deputy Director of the President’s Office and Head of the International Exchange Section). The representatives from NEUC included Prof. Dr. Mok Soon Chong (Vice-Chancellor), Assoc. Prof. Dr.Tey Shi Bin [Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate Development)], Zhang Rui (Deputy Dean, International Student Service Centre in China), Lee Hui Wen (Head, International Student Service Centre), Yap Seow Yu (Head, Language and Intercultural Centre), Lee Hong Yi (Education Programme Specialist) and Lim Jia Yi (Education Programme Specialist).

During the meeting, both representatives introduced their current development status and held discussions on future cooperation directions. In addition, based on the exchange of ideas, both parties further signed an international cooperation agreement and held an unveiling ceremony for the jointly established “School of Xiandai International Education” at Shandong Xiandai University. This aims to deepen educational exchanges between Malaysia and China and cultivate talents in various fields. After the meeting, the delegation toured the Tan Lark Sye library and the Nanyang University Archive Centre, where they gained a deeper understanding of our school’s history, founding mission, and the evolution of Chinese education in Malaysia.
