International Students’ Malacca One Day Tour
Malacca, a city steeped in history and cultural charm, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. On December 10, 2022, New Era University College's Institute of International Education (IIE) organized a "Malacca Cultural Experience Day Tour" to introduce international students to Malacca's historical and cultural heritage and to promote unity among them.
Nineteen international students participated in the tour. They visited attractions such as Ayer Keroh Lake, the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, Dutch Square, St. Paul's Hill, and Jonker Street. The students had the opportunity to taste authentic Nyonya cuisine, learn about Baba and Nyonya culture, and experience the rich colonial history of Malacca City. Along with the scenic and culinary experiences, they also learned basic Malay for daily interactions. This one-day cultural journey, filled with lively conversations and laughter, enriched their study abroad experience and created beautiful memories.
