In order to provide NEUC students with the opportunity to study abroad and to promote international exchange and cross-cultural communication skills, four outstanding students from NEUC passed the online interviews and were awarded JASSO scholarships to study at University of Kitakyushu for one semester or one academic year. The awardees were Chen Huey Sin and Jelyn Tey Jie Rui from the Department of Arts, Lee Jia Huey from the Department of Guidance & Counselling Psychology, and Leong Xin Yuan from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. The students took Japanese language classes, as well as courses related to international business, American studies, sociology, cross-cultural communication, tourism management, economics, and English linguistics throughout their studies in Japan.
